“The 2015 BALTHVS is rich, dense and opulent. Crème de cassis, cloves, leather
and new oak are fused together in a super-ripe, unctuous wine build on lavish
ripeness and texture. Although not subtle by any stretch of the imagination, the 2015 Balthus is striking. The 2015 was fermented entirely in new oak and then aged in
a second set of new barrels. In most vintages I prefer the Reignac to the Balthus, but in 2015, the Balthus is terrific. Tasted two times.”
