Het Loiregebied is heel =
divers
De wijngaarden van de Loire zijn de meest =
complexe van heel Frankrijk, vooral door de verschillen in terroir, =
druivenrassen en appellations die een 600 km lengte van de rivier =
beslaan.
Deze virtuele wijnreis gaat van oost naar west. Ik voer u langs =
bijzondere wijnproducenten.
Sauvignon Blanc koning.
De mooiste wijnen gemaakt van van het druivenras Sauvignon-Blanc vind je =
in de oostelijks Loire regio
In de wijngaarden van Pouilly sur Loire en Sancerre worden de mooiste =
wijnen gemaakt, zij zijn dan ook de bekendste appellations uit deze =
regio..
In de appellation Pouilly-Fum=C3=A9 staat Domaine Didier Dageneau op =
eenzame hoogte qua kwaliteit, helaas ooks zijn prijzen.
In Sancerre wordt domaine Alphonse Mellot tot verreweg de beste =
producent gerekend . De famillie Mellot maakt al sinds de 16de eeuw wijn =
in Sancerre. Vandaag staat de 18de Alphonse Mellot aan het roer van dit =
bedrijf..
Van Alphonse Mellot voer ik 2 wijnen.
La Moussi=C3=A8re =E2=82=AC 16,95 ex btw
Cuv=C3=A9e Edmond =E2=82=AC 36,50 ex btw

De =
laatste toevoegingen aan mijn assortiment komen uit Valencay.
Valencay ligt ook aan de Loire, ongeveer een 30 km ten zuiden van de =
middeleeuwse stad Blois.
Hier vond ik bij de producent Jean-Francois Roy twee wijnen die mij erg =
goed smaken.
Domaine Jean-Francois Roy heeft wijngaarden in de AOV Valencay en de AOC =
Touaraine-Chenonceaux.
De Valencay wordt gemaakt van 80% Sauvignon Blanc en 20% Chardonnay.
Deze 2018 is een mooie complexe wijn met tonen van ananas, appel, =
citrus.
Prijs: =E2=82=AC 7,00 ex btw
De Touaraine-Chenonceaux wordt van 100% Sauvignon Blanc gemaakt.
Eveneens jaargang 2018 in de neus peer, abrikoos, passievrucht.
In de mond een volle wijn, met een hint van Brioche, getoast brood, maar =
bewaart frisheid.
